Installed Firefox 3.Is Beta 4 the current edition?

Postby sdim on Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:03 am

Dear colleagues:
I've just installed Firefox 3 through Synaptic. The note right next to it said that this is the Beata 4 edition.
Is this the current Firefox 3 edition,or do I have to download another package?
(I've already downloaded a Firefox 3.0 .tar.bz2 package but it couldn't be installed the usual way, that's why I resorted to Synaptic).

Any help is appreciated.

FF 3 is not beta any more
You get the right version from mintUpdate (Firefox/3.0.1 (Linux Mint))
Unfortunately mintUpdate does not catch all updates when it's closed so open it (you may also have to click refresh) and you probably get the latest Firefox
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
