Can anyone tell me how to update compiz to the newest version and add their repos so that i can get an future updates? I can not figure out how to add third party software sources. I was trying to go by this page's information http://tombuntu.com/index.php/2008/07/2 ... n-release/
but have no idea how to do this in Mint. Thank you for your time

Hi, this assumes you are running Mint5 Gnome
Go to a terminal
- Code: Select all
Enter your password as you need sudo access.
This will take you to the sources list, add the sources you want then hit "ctrl o" to save and "ctrl x" to quit.
You then need to reload the repos to pick up the sources you added.
