Two questions about battery life and silverlight.

Postby Bouco on Sat Mar 01, 2014 2:20 pm

Hi!
I'm a day old linux user and I love it so far but I have a few issiues.

Battery:
It seems like my battery life always drains even with my charger in. This was not the case with windows 7. Is there a great way to configure or monitor the processes and if the GFX might be on 100% at all times or anything that uses alot of power?
I almost always use my charger and I use the laptop daily in school so I would love it if I there is a nice fix for this issue :)

Silverlight:
So I use a service that you need Microsoft Silverlight to view all the movies/series/sports and stuff. I have googled alot and only found something called "moonlight" so far. But when I go there I can't find the link that everyone on Youtube gets for the chrome/firefox plugin. Is there any other substitute for this?

Thank you!

ad 1. I'm not sure but psensor app may check usage of GPU. For sure it checks CPU usage and some temperatures.
