When it downloads it should already be an iso file. You shouldn't need to open or unpack it at all.

Open your burn program of choice. Burn the cd as an iso from the file you downloaded very slowly. No more than 8X speed. Burn in a RAW mode, usually listed as DAO. Have your Burn program verify the md5sum after burning.
