Friendly Laptops

Postby pcassiano on Sat Sep 20, 2008 4:28 pm

(Sorry for write in portuguese, but I have specific questions that only brazilians - perhaps portugueses - may help me...)

:wink:

Então, quem aqui usa o Mint em laptop e roda o Compiz e rede Wi-fi numa boa?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

just taking a stab. Generally the Thinkpad's seem to work quite well. Re: compiz, etc. my old r51 worked but the new r61i doesn't re: the cube. wifi worked on both and general stuff and buttons worked - with Mint - Ubuntu - had too many issues. I hate it. But Mint worked pretty much out of the box. get and intel wifi card. My graphics card on this one doesn't support the eye candy. Ok - it works.

Only have printer issues. Does not work with my cannon at all.

OK,

(If you reply me, you do understand portuguese! :D So, let me continue to write in portuguese :wink: )

Tudo bem.

Ele roda o Compiz e rede Wi-fi numa boa?

Acabo de descobrir que o laptop MSI S420 está nesta lista (só preciso me certificar se ele tem teclado com Ç);

No - I do not speak Portugese. I just know enough about some languages to pick out some words and possible concepts. Sorry.
