Replacing system icons/program icons

Hi, I was wondering how I could go by of replacing the icons on my system. I want to replace the icons used for the HDD/CD/Media/Program Icons, etc.etc.. Running GNOME on Linux Mint 5.

Go to Preferences > Appearance > Customize button at the bottom > Then Icon tab.

That only alternates between some pre-installed theme icon set. I just want to add some icons here and there.

You can make your own Icon set if you want. I'm not sure what software would be needed for that besides GIMP. Or you can download a few icon packages and mix and match them I believe, just don't release your mixed and matched version.

I don't know if there is a way to change individual icons.

Right Click on an icon, go to properties, then click on the icon in the top left. That will present you with a file choose dialog. Choose the icon you want to use and your set!

Seems like I will have to manually replace the icons. I found the folder that has the set of icons that the default theme uses.
