Auto system-wide audio volume level possible.

Post by default300714 »

New to linux, new to linuxmint, new forum. Please helpful reply. Yes I know I know nothing, This is why I'm asking.
I am moving from windows to linuxmint. currently have computer on duel boot. Working all out as I go along.

I have a sound blaster creativity wireless headset, They have windows driver and software. Headset works fine on linuxmint. One of the feature of the windows software is auto adjusting volume level. i.e. if the sound is quite it will increase it and like wise if they are loud, reduce it.

Is there anything i.e. setting, options, software that can replicate this on linuxmint?

Thank you.

P.s. I am wanting and willing to move to linux solo, Including gaming if possible (Using codeweaver). Finding a lot of little annoyances and together are preventing me from making the full effort to move.

open Terminal, type in alsamixer and press Enter key. Use arrow keys in it.
All things go better with Mint. Mint julep, mint jelly, mint gum, candy mints, pillow mints, peppermint, chocolate mints, spearmint,....
