I set up both Firefox and Thunderbird so that they share the profiles I had set up on the WindowsXP side of my desktop. The problem I have is that when I try to start either, I get the "Firefox is in use..." error. What I have found is that I'll get this error until I use the file browser to point at the XP drive. I don't have to go to the exact directory, just the drive. After I do that, the programs work fine. Is there a startup script I can use to have my Linux session establish a link to the XP drive so I don't have to go through this process every time I want to run Thunderbird or Firefox?
Thanks!

I don't really understand this
How do you mount the ntfs drive?

When I boot up and go to the computer icon, I can see my ntfs drives. I can then select them and start to navigate through them.Husse wrote:I don't really understand this

Re: Firefox and Thunderbird: A problem sharing profiles.
The problem is Hardy removed the automount for all but the partitions need for the install.
For ntfs hard drives I would install ntfs-config and use it to setup automount for the drive you need.

I was thinking of fstab but ntfs-config is better (if the mount is consistent)

That did the trick. Thanks!merlwiz79 wrote:The problem is Hardy removed the automount for all but the partitions need for the install.
