moving files

Postby Paulgr on Mon Nov 17, 2008 10:01 am

In windows explorer there is a way to select file(s) and then select copy or move these files to another drive or directory. The only option I see in Linux mint is the Move to Trash from the edit menu. Is there a way to set up the LInux mint like it is in windows?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

It's the same just with a different name. You can right-click the file/folder and select cut then paste to the new location this is the same as move. Alternatively you can use the keyboard Ctrl+v = cut Ctrl+p = paste.

Great!!! Thanks a lot. I saw that option and just assumed it was for cutting and pasting documents. That makes things a lot easier now.
