Link to a binary file => Error! [solved]

Postby codepilot on Thu Dec 04, 2008 7:55 pm

Hello,

I'm having problems to replace the link of my cc to colorgcc.

When I do
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/colorgcc cc
and then try to run cc using
Code: Select all
cc
the system answers
Code: Select all
colorgcc: Error; cc is a symlink to colorgcc. Aborting.

What is wrong with my link, where is my mistake?
A hard link doesn't work as well.

~cp

yikes - my fault, again.
The colorgcc script itself produces this message when executed via a link to g++, gcc, cc, and some more ;(...
