Sony Xperia Z not recognised in Linux Mint

Post by newbee121 »

Hi all

This is my first post - I managed to get Linux Mint up and running on my MacBookPro following all of the online guides

I have a separate partition for OSX - I can drag and drop files using Android Transfer on OSX

The problem is that Linux Mint does not seem to recognise my phone

I have looked at things like putting the phone into MSC mode as per this article

http://akovid.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/so ... d-not.html

The problem is that i don't have an internal storage card in the phone - and i don't see the need for one at the time being

Can you give me advice on how to get Linux Mint to recognise my phone?

Thanks a lot

I can't get past this part - On Android, launch FTP Server, and check "Running". It will provide you an IP and a port.

Is there an easier way to do all of this???

Thanks
