Dual boot Win 7 with first Petra and now Rebecca the grub isn't working.
In Petra I was unable to select Win 7 to run as no keys on keyboard had any effect so Petra loaded as that was the top the list.
In Rebecca the same occurs I could not load Win 7 and so Rebecca loaded, but it has got worse now, now the grub just sits and nothing loads and of course no key on the keyboard has any effect.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Grub not working.

Re: Grub not working.
does CTRL - ALT - F1 or other function keys instead of F1 get you to a tty login screen? Have you tried entering ESC at start up and see if you can get a menu screen? Booted to a LIVE DVD and run grub-install on the drive?
Here's one process

Just to say, I am a complete noob with Linux and even had to look up what a TTY was, but will try what you have suggested on the morrow.
Thank you.
