Cannot connect to Net

Postby vastpast on Mon Jan 05, 2009 4:26 pm

I tried out Mint as a live CD; but I am unable to browse the net. Despite unchecking the work offline box I get the following message:

"Check your network connection-DNS server settings"

However I can connect to the net, no problem, if I use Ubuntu (latest version) as a live CD.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Does the network card get a connection?
You may need to configure your network. I had a similar issue a while ago.
