How do you know what version of LM to update to?

Postby jacatone on Sat Jan 10, 2009 4:13 pm

I'm currently running LM 4 on an old AMD Duron white box. It took a lot of time and effort to get it running smoothly. I've tested LM 6 main with the live CD and the screen resolution seems off and it runs slow. I assume if I actually installed version 6 and updated the Nvidia video driver it would work better but how would I know for sure? With Ubuntu and Linux Mint upgrading every six months or so, I'm just afraid of being left behind the latest advances.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

You don't have to upgrade at all for the time being.Daryna is supported until April and Elyssa until April 2010.So you could wait till April 09 then either install Elyssa or wait until mint 7 comes out
