This is probably related to the switch user problem I described in http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=207457 . No one was able to help with that, I hope this one will find a response.

Sometimes when I log out (Linux Mint 17.2 MATE 32-bit) the computer freezes and I get a grey screen. I have no idea what to do, so I restart with CTRL-ALT-DEL and I'm good to go again. But I'd like to fix whatever's wrong.

The grey screen offers more information, and when I click YES I get this message (I had to copy by hand, I hope I got it all right):

Code: Select all

The server is now disabled. Restart MDM when it is configured correctly.

Any ideas? Specifically, what is MDM and how to configure it?

Thanks for any help :P
