Items in the menu

Is there a way to get to the directory where the menu items are stored. (Maybe I'm just used to windows) I used Wine to install a program and after uninstalling it all the stuff is still in the menu.

System > Preferences > Main Menu might be what you are looking for. You can check and uncheck what you want to be displayed. You can also rename the menu items, too.

Right-clicking on the menu and choosing Edit menus... also gets you to Menu Editor.
