Due to the similarities between Ubuntu and Mint you can probably just Google Ubuntu clean up

and another site gave some suggestions including, gconf cleaner for gconf keys (like a win reg cleaner), sudo apt-get autoremove cleans unneeded dependencies, and deborphan
