However Koffice does not open or render correctly most of the word, presentation and spreadsheet files I have to work with. Besides I don't like the interface.
I tried to use the Adept Add/Remove programs utility to install OpenOffice. It says it's done it and when you open it again it still shows the name of the programs as already ticked.
But I cannot find any openoffice applications with the tasty start menu, nor "Search", nor "Run program..."
When I go to the main Adept Manager, the following openoffice.org-... packages are shown as installed:
base, calc, core01 to core08, draw, impress, math and writer
I tried installing other combinations of openoffice packages, but to no avail! I would not apply the changes 'cause it would show in red that it would "BREAK" my install.
I finally tried installing openoffice.org-kde-integration. Did Nothing!
Kubuntu is just ugly
Please help!
Sandro
