There's nothing wrong with adding Mintmenu or any other Mint tools to Ubuntu but Mint is more than Ubuntu with a few extra tools. I've found that a lot of what makes the Mint experience so great is the community of users here on the forum. You will have to go a long way to find a friendlier, more ready to help group than the Mint forum users. So, if you want the whole experience, download or buy any of the Mint versions, start using the best Linux distro, and join the group on the forum.

If you buy, do it through the link listed on the Mint homepage. The CDs cost a little more but more than half of the price goes to support Mint development.
