Icon for HOME on KDE desktop

Postby allan on Tue May 01, 2007 1:56 am

I must be missing a very obvious way to do this... How do I get an icon for my home directory on my KDE desktop (Bianca KDE 022)? As installed the desktop is blank. I've tried going to KControl center and under Deskop -> Behavior -> Device Icons enabling the checkbox for Mounted Hard Disk Volumes. This works because my home is on a seperate partition, but I also get icons for all of my partitions. How do I enable an icon for a particular partition? Or is there a way just for my home folder? Thanks...

Hi
Right click on desktop, "Create new Link to Location (url)" In "enter link to location" put /home/allan
In filename put home or whatever you want, Left click on Icon before closing and choose the Icon you want to use
