To get mintconfig working again and get something similar to Cassandra:

Code: Select all

gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Then change:

deb http://www.linuxmint.com/repository bianca/
to

Code: Select all

deb http:/www.linuxmint.com/repository cassandra/
Then save the file and type the following commands in a terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install mintinstall desktop-effects restricted-manager beryl beryl-manager
sudo apt-get remove openoffice*
sudo apt-get install openoffice.org
