I used bittorrent to download planeshift the free mmorpg game and when it finished downloading nothing happened can some one explain to me what i have to do please and you.

is it compressed? what are the files in the downloaded folder?

well its not giving me the choice to unpack it the files is called Planeshift-v.4.03-x86.bin

if it's a bin(ary) file, then that is *not* a compressed file.
so, type " chmod +x file_name.bin " to change it to a executable ..
then type " /path/file_name.bin " to 'run' the file.

or just ' file_name.bin " if you are in the same directory as the file.

any errors, usually mean that you are not in the same directory as the file.
- change to that directory 1st.

in the terminal. right click in the folder (not on a file) and select open in terminal
alternatively instead of using the terminal you can go to the folder right click on the file, select properties > permissions > tick allow executing file as program. double click and select run in terminal.
