Linux Mint 6 does not boot

Postby alexham on Mon Apr 20, 2009 4:31 pm

I have recently installed Mint - 6 and it refuses to boot every time I use "Restart" from another OS. The error message on the splash screen says : Target file system doesn't have /sbin/init.

Can I create a replacement /init, or how do I avoid these system crashes, please?

Many thanks,

You are not clear on this - can you boot straight into Mint?
How is your configuration
It could be something like this ... annot_boot
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
