Unexplored faciliies

Postby T J Tulley on Tue Apr 21, 2009 11:34 am

I think Elyssa was the first LinuxMint version to include Gnome-do and also the ability to scroll through several workplaces (apparently alternative desktops). They all show the same links and application shortcuts.

I find Gnome-do considerably less than intuitive!

So far I haven't experimented with scrollable desktops. Is there a manual somewhere about this? I've looked through the Gnome documentation - a bit obscure for me but found nothing relevant. I presume the feature is part of Gnome?

With thanks for any advice.
Yours hopefully -

I think it's the desktop wall/viewport switcher effects in compiz you're talking about.
