iDeb disappearing ACT, very noob!

Postby Crimsonkil on Thu Apr 30, 2009 3:56 pm

Hi folks and thank you,

I d/led lightscribe software and used alien to rpm to deb, then opened (unpacked?) it with iDeb and now I have no idea where it is. I have searched from root for lightscribe* and light*, but nothing appears.

Also I have no sound with Rosegarden.

again, thanks,

How did you search?
The way I find best is with locate
Code: Select all
sudo updatedb

Code: Select all
locate -i light

(-i to make it case insensitive)
which gives too many hits or perhaps better
Code: Select all
locate -i lightscribe

There's also
which lightscribe
but for that to work lightscribe needs to be in the path
