You can always add the PPA repo to your sources list, but I must quote the page for your reference though because it mentions to use it at your own risk. And here is the link for you to look at https://launchpad.net/~sevmek/+archive/ppa:
Ekiga 3.0 and SVN (will remove your stable version of Ekiga!)

!! USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK !!
THIS IS GPL COPYRIGHTED SOFTWARE.
NO WARRANTY!

3.0:
$ sudo aptitude install ekiga

SVN:
$ sudo aptitude install ekiga-snapshot

Run it with 'ekiga'

Open a terminal and type:
Code: Select all
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Then copy and paste this at the bottom of your list:
Code: Select all
### +++ Ekiga +++
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/sevmek/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/sevmek/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main

Save

Then copy this into a text file:

-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----

Save this into your home folder temporarily as "ekiga" without quotes.

Then in terminal, type this:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-key add ekiga

If it says something about not finding the key, make sure you are in your home directory in terminal.

Then type:
Code: Select all
sudo apt update && sudo apt install ekiga

Good luck and I hope this was descriptive enough for you.
