I've just installed the KDE mini version and I specified 4 desktops in the control centre, but cannot find the usual 4 squares in the panel to change from one to the other (nor can I find it in the applet menu).
Is this a general bug? Or is it peculiar to this installation / computer? Or is there a new method to change desktops that I have yet to discover?
Everything else seems to work (at least as far as I've had a chance to test).

As I'm a gnome person I had to log in to Bianca KDE to find the answer.
Right click on the panel, left click "Add applet to panel" > "Destop preview and pager" and you're done
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
