Nautilus Date Modified Column

Postby mintmint on Thu May 14, 2009 7:38 pm

When I download files, why does the date modified column in Nautilus follow the server's time and not the time it finished downloading the file on my laptop? How can I change that? Thanks.

Well - the column is called "Date Modified"....
The file is not modified just because you downloaded it
But to answer your question there is no such thing as a "creation date" in unix/linux filesystems. So it's impossible for now.
Sorry

Thanks Husse. Coming from a Windows background, I was confused. I think I found my answer. In Linux it's Date Accessed.
