Media in Opera & firefox - music, video, etc?

Postby virtualu2 on Tue May 19, 2009 3:22 pm

Hi,
I am trying to play streaming music within the web browser and some video stuff.

Youtube works fine, and flash sites seem fine, the media on some radio stations isn't working right or it hangs for a long time.

Is there another app I need?

I had previously used the XOODLES script to install mplayer, mozilla-mplayer plugin, some codecs and whatnot, but I haven't done that on my MINT install yet :)

Thx!
Jake

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
