what are your system specs?
RAM is the big one. you need at least 256MB, but even that may not be enough.
the other thing is to check the wiki CD troubleshooting.

I'm getting the same thing, the daemon is running and the control panel works fine. I just ignore it.

I had that problem with Bianca but not with Cassandra.

I had that problem as well from the live CD. It's a somewhat common problem with Bianca that appears to be limited to the Live CD. Most find that after installation the problem does not reappear.
As long as you are sure your CD is okay (did you check the md5?) just go ahead and install it. You should be fine.
On my system I found if I rebooted the live CD several times I would eventually get a boot without the error. But it doesn't seem to matter if you are installing.
