I am new to Linux and to Mint. I loaded Mint as a dual boot with XP. Everything looked good until I loaded video drivers for my Diamond Radeon X1550 AGPvideo card. When I was prompted to restart the computer, I did and the machine went through the boot ok until the screen went blank. I am not sure how to rollback the video drivers. Can anyone suggest a solution. Thanks.

Start in Recovery mode - you select it at boot
There is an option there to Fix X errors which may help you
If you use Elyssa or Felicia further action can be a bit tricky as you probably don't have a root password
In Gloria it is the same as your own password (make it strong)
You could then start envy ( envyng -t ) to remove the driver
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
