Mint 7: Mouse problems: no right click

I used to run XP and I know that my mouse is not broken, I also had Mint 6, Fedora 11 and Fedora 10 on here, and the right click worked perfectly... Ive been told its the xorg.conf file. but every peice of advice i get doesnt work.. I am running a dell latitude d600 lspci and lsusb : any other information i can give. if theres someone who can help please do!!!
