Will Mint Live read windows partitions?

Postby georgeg on Fri May 18, 2007 10:14 am

I ran the latest KDE version of Mint last night in LIVE mode to see what it looked like. Very nice! One thing I noticed was that under file management, I couldn't see the drives I have under windows. Does Mint not see windows partitions or is it just because I was in the LIVE mode.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

it's because of live mode... mintDisk does not start while using liveCD... something becase of osprober...
Windows is extremely fast after a fresh install. If you want to make it stay that way: - don't use it.

However disk tools see your disks, so you can use Qparted. Possibly your disks open up when you start qparted, or this is just a new behavior i Cassandra, been some time since I run Bianca gnome live CD

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
