Fonts location?

I am just wondering where does Mint 6 keep its fonts?

Also, does it recognize .tff files for fonts?

Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

There are two places you can install fonts. One would be under your Home folder called .fonts
This one is a hidden folder just for your user account only. If you are the only one on the system, this is where I usually install my fonts.

The other would be under /usr/share/fonts
This is the system-wide place to add your fonts, especially if you share your system with other users

You can install "ttf" fonts, and the system will read them like normal.
