I have resume problems also on my 64 bit nVidia system, but not the same symptoms.

Code: Select all

witr@balls ~ $ inxi -v 5
System: Host balls Kernel 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 (64 bit) Distro Linux Mint 7 Gloria - x64 Edition

           ID:swap-1 size: 20.48GB used: 0.00GB (0%)
Info: Processes 178 Uptime 12 min Memory 576.3/7824.8MB Client Shell inxi 1.0.6
Symptoms: the system appears to sleep fine, but when trying to resume the screen remains blank (and the nVidia's fan runs on high) and I cannot login from another system using SSH (no route to host). Recovery is a reboot via reset.

I tried upgrading to 185.18.14 of the binary nVidia driver to no effect.

I see a number of problems being posted with Jaunty, but no common thread and there are a variety of symptoms ranging from mine (dead on resume) to sorta working like above.

In my case (lenovo T61 and Mint Helena 64bit) the sleep problem is a little bit different. When I close the lid Mint goes to sleep nicely, however, when opening the lid Mint wakes up and then goes back to sleep again. After pressing power button, it wakes up properly. - sorry wrong thread
