Suspend Restores Wrong Screen Size etc...

Postby Kendoori on Thu Jul 09, 2009 1:01 pm

I'm running Gloria on a EEE Box B202, attached to a Vizio 20" monitor that is set to 16 x 9 (1280 x 720). When I suspend the machine and bring it back up, the display doesn't come back in the right aspect (e.g. the panel is nearly hidden at the bottom) and the color depth appears wrong (e.g. 256 color or less). If I use the display applet to change to 800 x 600, the screen changes to that properly and the 16M color depth. If I try to change back to 1280 x 720, it goes back to the original state. Reboot clears up this condition. Here's what the machine has hardware wise:

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The only thing I've found in a quick search is to disable Compiz

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
