Dual booting Mint6 with Windows XP. How?

Postby Kinzkey on Wed Jul 15, 2009 1:58 am

I've got a net book with a USB CD drive. When I tried to install Mint 6, it wouldn't let me adjust the partition. How do I adjust the partition so that I can run Windows XP and Mint 6?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

When you get the partitioning step of the installation there should be a custom option near the bottom. Select the option, then click next. You should then be allowed to change partitions how you see fit.

Your question didn't really explain your problem. If my answer doesn't help, try posting a screen shot, or explain what you tried to do.
