<SOLVED>Compaq Deskpro w/bad cd drive...

Postby mcrofutt on Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:52 am

Hi,
I've d/l the Cassandra ISO file and found that my cd drive won't recognize ANY disk. Is it possible to install from the ISO file any other way?
Thanks in advance!
Mark

I take it there's no such "Poor man's install" instructions then. I'll try the install on another machine and swap rives. Thanks anyways ya'll!

:D This worked 100% so long as you install it as the only drive (or whichever drive) it'll be set up on the "other" machine. The video cards are different, but a dpk-reconfigure xserver-xorg fixed that little niggle.
So there you have another way to install a FANTASTIC operating system!
Thanks to all who contribute!
