I am fairly new to Linux myself.
I first, tried Ubuntu 9.04, after about a week I switched to LinuxMint-7.
About 2 weeks after that, I deleted Vista from my computer.

I have been using LM-7 for almost a month.

I am a LinuxMint geek/junkie, now.
I am doing things to my desktop I could never dream of doing in Windows.
Learning and enjoying it.

Well you should use your own topic, dead ones like this aren't likely to be responded to (I have alerts on for responds). Any how, what is the External disk formatted as? As well, when you plug it into Windows, what does it also have nothing on it?
