Hi,
I have loaded Mint 3.0 and am having trouble creating a desktop shortcut to an smb share I use. I was able to do it with KDE but Gnome is a mystery to me. I have dragged and copy / pasted the folder from Nautilus but the system tries to copy the files. I have right-clicked on the desktop but I can't add a location like I could with KDE. I'm sure it is something simple.
Thanks

There's a menu point "Connect to Network Server" ... type in the necessary infos ... and voila: it will auto-create a folder icon on your GNOME desktop.
