Will this netbook work with Linux Mint 7 out of the box?

Unless someone has that netbook (lenevo S12), the best that can be said is probably yes
--check the hardware specifications compared to other netbooks, and see if they work with Linux; such as Dell, HP, Acer

Also, check the Linux that has been installed or is listed as being supported, example the acer atom site
