Afterall, they are basically the same 99% of the way. Can I just apt- get from the command line to change from Ubuntu 7.04 (fresh install) to casandra?
If so, what packages do I need? Thnx.
If not, I'll just use the live cd. I thought I could save some hassle.

you would have to add the extra mint repos to souces.list...
but you would be much better off installing mint fresh.

the only other recommendation I have is to create a /home partition during the install.
