Volume setting is not permanent in XFCE.

Postby Stefan_of_Mint on Tue Oct 27, 2009 9:01 am

In Linux-Mint 7 'XFCE' edition I have to reset the sound of the speakers (slider 'PCM')
to a reasonable setting after each reboot, because it is always set to 0 upon reboot.

How can I make the volume setting permanent?

I tried 'alsactl store', but to no avail.

Any hints?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

--check the alsa section, see if that might answer the question

Ubuntu 9.04(jaunty) basis of Mint 7(gloria)
Except don't be trying stuff without thinking, or that you are unsure of: that might not relate to Ubuntu /Mint
--most of it will be Ok, since it is about the alsa files and options..
