hi kntbrat

There have been a lot of trolls here recently.
I wasn't sure if you were kidding around or not.
No offence intended if your problem is real.
Check the thread below and then come back here.

Hi again

See if you can install the games from the Command line

Open terminal[Menu-->Terminal]
and run this command

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install gnome-games
This should download and install the games you referenced.

Good Luck

hi again kntbrat

I'm glad it worked out for you.

Sorry about the pot joke, but the Twilight Zone nature of your
problem and the reference to "Humboldt Gardens" was too
much to pass up. :D

It is odd to me for a different reason. Installed Mint6/Felicia and now have Mint7/Gloria and have installed each of them on a desktop or two and never were the games present at install. On a couple of the machines I added them after the fact with Package Manager.

Good thought. I never used the live CDs long enough to check. I pretty much put in the CDs then install, even the first time.

They were on my live CD when I was running it off a USB stick... I never tried to run them but they were in the menu, I know that for a fact.

If it makes you feel any better, they're gone now. :D I have made a lot of changes to the menu though, so that might be why. I wanted the games I installed to be on the menu, not the pre-installed ones.
