Hello,

I would like to be able to install the printer and Scanner function of this All In One device: Brother MFC 5490CN All in One.

On Openprinting Database, I see alot of downloads for this device, but not sure which ones to download, of course this is for printing only I guess. It is not listed in the automatic printer setup in Linux Mint.

For scanning, is this device supported? I didn't see it on Sane's supported list.

I am using Linux Mint 7 KDE.

I went to Brother's site instead, easier to pick out what I needed.

I was just going to tell you that - I have a Brother DCP 7010 and I find Brother's support for Linux excellent (even if you have to do a bit of tinkering)
