Install Mint under VM Fusion

Postby nwwmac on Sun Nov 15, 2009 10:21 pm

I've installed Mint on my iMac using VM Fusion. I didn't bother wasting a CD, it created the install from the iso. Sadly, when I boot it up it thinks it is running from the CD drive. It's slow and jerky as a result. The install Mint program wants to partition the drive, which I do NOT want.

Ubuntu seems to be the only Linux version that installs correctly using this procedure.

Suggestions? Please?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I think I have it now. I re-created the VM and told the wizard to use the 'Ubuntu Linux' profile. Makes sense, since Mint is a derivative!
