Postby Guitarfriiik on Mon Nov 16, 2009 10:31 am

Halo Im a newbie to Linux Mint and I would love to use it properly, its just that after my installation it seems like the colour depth has been set wrong, it looks like that, at first I couldnt see anything on my monitor and now the resolution looks perfect but its just that the clolours are messed up :( my xorg.conf looks like this Ive tried as you see to add the 24. I am using a Sis based card on an aser aspire 5000 computer.

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Device "Configured Video Device"
DefaultDepth 24
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Option "UseFBDev" "true"
EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"
Option "DontZap" "False"
EndSection

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

It should be in a subsecition DIsplay such as this:
SubSection "Display"
Depth depth
In your case,

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Device "Configured Video Device"
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
EndSubSection
EndSection
