Can you print screen us what it looks like on the Windows partition editor?Qube wrote:I'm currently running Windows Vista on my Dell laptop with 220GB hard drive. I wanted to try out Linux so I made a LiveCD for Linux Mint 7, made a 30GB partition on my hard drive, and ran the installer. However, when I got to installing, it said there was something wrong with the partition (I can't remember exactly what) and told me to shut down. I went back into Windows and cleared the partition, so I now have a 30GB empty partition. When I tried to install Mint again it now says it can't, whether I've got the CD in or not.
So, here are my questions:
1) I've now got 30GB of space on my hard drive that I can't do anything with. Is there a way to possibly merge this with my main partition, or at least make it usable so that I can try installing Mint on it again?
2) Linux Mint is still on my boot menu even though it's not installed and it won't let me install it. confused?
Sorry if this is just me being a n00b, but I'd appreciate help with either of these problems.
Thanks
