Apparently an older release of Linux Mint did recognize that card..

--errors for wireless card

- If it is not an *.exe file, it might be able to be expanded (extracted or unzipped ? ) to show the files within. But I would be looking for that windows driver for Compaq v6000 ..
--or research the broadcom options for Linux..
