Hello,
When I run xvidcap, recordmydesktop, istanbul to record full screen I get 1-2 framerate or pc freeze.
How to fix it? On windows with camtasia no problems.
Running Dual-core 3ghz 4gb ram, ati 3650 with official ati drivers, Linux Mint 8 X64 RC1.
So I have found the problem it is ATI DRIVERS. Envyng and those from ati.amd.com dont work ;(
What are the best drivers for my ati 3650?

Re: Desktop recording problem
I've only ever used recordmydesktop, and I know it has a few preferences tabs. You'll need to post what settings you have selected, whether you are recording sound and so on.
